"TEN provided me with everything one could need to live in a foreign country from security to food to emotional support from the staff. The volunteer work was very fulfilling and I loved it. I learned so much from this experience, but the two things I am taking with me is to be grateful for things as simple as running water and understanding that education is really the start to change. Also, I learned how open and accepting everyone is of each other. We are all very different with very different values and managed to create a family vibe."

"It's incredibly difficult to pinpoint just one aspect that stood out among the various "innovations" that were introduced. There were numerous facets, ranging from self-discovery and cultural immersion to professional growth. Each of these areas brought about numerous "sub-innovations" that continue to shape my mindset and personal development."

"The teacher was really excited about the box we made. When the lesson ended, we asked Richard to say some final words. He said, 'Hey kids, see how we can create a whole game set from materials lying around on the floor, and even sell it.' He then explained that being successful in life requires being creative and knowing how to use opportunities. He encouraged us to look at the materials we have and think about how we can make money from them. At that moment, I felt like I was making a positive impact on the children's personality and growth."

"I knew I was going to enjoy the tour but I did not think I would love the city so much. We walked through the streets and I could not stop smiling. Winneba is such a lively city. People we did not know stopped to say hello to us, and children ran after us and wanted to talk to us. I hope the tour of the city is just the beginning of an amazing experience filled with self-growth, and learning about this amazing country!"

"This time inspired me to be patient and a good listener. A highlight was just that each person was truly awesome and so interesting and kind.
I liked that we had stuff to do every day but that it wasn’t so hectic, and I got plenty of freedom and time to rest. I really enjoyed it.

"Being a teacher for kids helped me make very meaningful relationships with the teachers, school, and children. "Group life was challenging at times but overall amazing. It’s hard to find alone time when you are surrounded by people but also the creativity, love and passion as a group was clear and was something that I have learned so much from. The program was a great fit for me, and I loved it. It was at times overwhelming with the big group situation, but this was all part of the challenge and I only grew from it."

"I would describe my period at TEN as a roller coaster, even with all the up and downs I will leave this center with amazing memories of leaving my comfort zone and having doing something productive.

"The volunteer work is very diverse. Every time I came back from the volunteering in Beit Elisha, the special needs center in Harduf, Israel, I had the biggest smile on my face. I learned that so many times in your life you need a very different approach to people and to situations you get in.
The program I did in Israel was exactly what I was looking for. It combined theater, music, living outside, working with children and adults with special needs as well as making beautiful connections to the people I live with."

"Living in a kibbutz in Israel was very interesting, and very different to my own life, but extremely enjoyable and I am forever grateful that I was able to experience something like this.
I enjoyed working with the Beit Elisha, a special needs center for adults. Forming strong connections with the members is something that I will cherish forever, and I am so glad to be able to have met some of the members. Each one of them changed my perspective on so many real-life situations."

"My time with TEN in South Africa this summer was truly unforgettable. I spent a week in Durban, where I had the privilege of volunteering both in the Inanda township with local children and within the Jewish community. This experience was incredibly meaningful and life-changing.
